Lorelei festival

My daughter and I just came back from

the Lorelei Festival in the Netherlands

An altogether memorable and fantastic experience

living for three days with a group, women only

dancing, singing, talking, meditating, laughing etc...

and all the feelings and emotions that goes with it

Wonderful

I didn't take pictures (I simply forgot)

but this old photo conveys the spirit of it

Trammelant - Belle Epoque Festival

De Haan, the little town on the Belgian North Sea coast where I live, 

is proud of its past. You can see that during the fabulous Belle Époque Festival
“Trammelant” 

which just happened to be today.
(well yesterday actually, it's way past bedtime)

You think you’ve been transported to the late 19^th century.

a beautiful old poster, le Coq sur Mer is the french name for De Haan (the rooster)

Bruges is only 15 km away...

't alternatief is a nice restaurant with very sympathetic owners

The tram station in Art-Nouveau is very famous

De Haan is a beautiful and historic residential area 

with typical Belle Epoque villas.
