Purple Sheep

This design by the talented designer Kate Davies is so lovely
that I had to knit one for myself.
I used 9 colours of the Troubadour range – Renaissance Dyeing
as I had some yarn left over from previous projects.

The colours Kate Davies suggest are all natural wool colours
so I was afraid it would look a bit too “Bollywoodish”
but in the end it turned out very nice, if I may say so myself.
Because I’m a very loose knitter, it was a little bit too big,
no problem, I just felted it a bit and now it fits perfectly.
I love it !

In the process of knitting there was this strange song
constantly popping up in my head:

Purple sheep, purple sheep,
I only wanted to see you
knitting purple sheep.

  6. This looks amazing! I want to have a go but didn't want to do it in the natural shades as I like a bit more color in my life. I need to figure out what to buy now so mine doesn't look too garish though. You got it just right!
