Brittany

Some impressions of my latest trip to Brittany
 Breton: Breizh, pronounced [brɛjs]

A strange ancient Goddess statue of uncertain origin
but with an Egyptian Queen look
located 2 km south east of Baud - Morbihan, Brittany
Once known as "The Iron Lady"

This statue has evidently been remodelled possibly around 1701
to represent a less pagan and probably a less sexual appearance

read a article about her here (French)

I waited and waited till Vivienne, the Lady of the lake
and her Excalibur to come out of the water,
but no...
Paimpont  - Foret de Brocéliande
The lovely village reminded me a lot of Glastonbury
Same shops, same "Arthurian" kitch

magnificent old oak
 1000 years old
Brocéliande

I love cows
and here they really seemed to love me too
;-)

A really funny boat-curtain in a restaurant somewhere on the coast

Vièrge à l'enfant at the entrance of the cemetery
 Landévennec - Presqu'ile de Crozon
Reminded me a lot of the Vierges Noires I saw in Auvergne

Wonderful Mysterious place
Lots of tourists !

Very nice Salon de thé
with a delicious Thai latte tea
Huelgoat

French Bookshop - Cybercafé
in the middle of the
Foret de Huelgoat

Patrick Dougherty’s works allude to nests, cocoons, hives
and lairs built by animals, as well as the artificial forms of huts,
haystacks, and baskets, created by interweaving branches and twigs together.

Typical Creperie - Roscoff

Le Chat Blanc - Roscoff
