There is something about this quote that I don't like. First, I don't see myself as just a peasant. And the feeling that everything just happens because 'the big boys in charge' decide stuff, and that we can't do anything about it just isn't true. Ask for example the people of Tunesia, Egypt and Libia. They did something about it. Doris Lessing, you kind of dissapoint me here...
